HR Supervisor
The HR Supervisor will manage and support various human
resources functions, including payroll, unemployment claims, workman’s
compensation, and 401K administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in HR processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to
handle confidential information with the utmost integrity. This is a full-time,
in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Management: Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including
employee relations, onboarding, performance management, and compliance with
company policies and employment laws.
- Payroll Administration: Manage payroll processing using
ADP, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Unemployment Claims: Handle unemployment claims, including
documentation, communication with relevant agencies, and managing appeals or
disputes as necessary.
- Workman’s Compensation: Administer workman’s compensation
claims, working closely with employees, healthcare providers, and insurance
companies to ensure proper documentation and claim resolution.
- 401K Administration: Oversee the administration of the
company’s 401K plan, including employee enrollment, contribution management,
and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and
local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and others.
- Employee Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date
employee records, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive
information.
- HR Reporting: Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports,
providing insights and recommendations to management on workforce trends,
turnover, and other key HR indicators.
- Policy Development: Assist in the development,
implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Employee Support: Serve as a resource for employees,
addressing HR-related inquiries and concerns with professionalism and
discretion.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Human Resources, with a strong
understanding of HR processes and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing, specifically
using ADP or similar payroll systems.
- Knowledge of unemployment claims management, including
handling appeals and disputes.
- Experience administering workman’s compensation claims and
coordinating with relevant parties.
- Familiarity with 401K administration, including
enrollment, contribution management, and compliance.
- Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and tact.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration, or a related field.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a
plus.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in
HR.
